The 184th Wing gathered at Equity Bank Park, June 6, 2026, to cheer on the Wichita Wind Surge and spend the evening commemorating D-Day, America’s 250th Birthday, and the 184th Wing’s 85th anniversary.
The evening's events began with a parade of our Airmen and their families taking the field, followed by 1st Lt. Cara Parise, the 2025 Kansas Air National Guard Company Grade Officer of the Year, administering the Oath of Enlistment to 20 new members of the Kansas Air National Guard.
The 184th Wing commander, Col. Joseph Deeds, and 184th Wing command chief, Chief Master Sgt. Stephen Vogt, delivered the ceremonial first pitches. They were followed by the Honor Guard, who conducted a flag folding ceremony behind home plate to honor the sacrifices of military veterans.
The Honor Guard also presented the colors during the National Anthem, which was sung by Master Sgt. Bradley Weaver and Master Sgt. Alyssa Parks.
We thank the Wichita Wind Surge and the local community for their continued support of our personnel. It was truly a wonderful evening at the ballpark!
