MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Congratulations to Master Sgt. Morgan Stolp, 134th Air Control Squadron, on his nomination for the 184th Wing First Sergeant’s “Diamond Sharp” Award.
Stolp consistently exemplifies the highest standards of leadership, character and humility. Serving as the squadron’s additional duty first sergeant, his operational impact throughout the installation is remarkable.
In April 2026, during a difficult time at McConnell Air Force Base, Wichita, Kan., he volunteered to step into the role of additional duty first sergeant during an “all hands-on deck” request for support during the time of significant emotional strain. Furthermore, he has remained late into the evening to speaking individually to squadron members and ensuring they has support before departing for the night.
Beyond his operational duties at the 184th Wing, he also played a significant role 22nd Air Refueling Wing Additional Duty First Sergeant Symposium, assisting with instruction on first sergeant responsibilities, maintenance of discipline, administrative actions, empathetic counseling, family care planning, command responsibilities following death notifications, and violence response procedures.
He was recognized by the 22nd ARW commander for his willingness to invest in developing current and future first sergeants which strengthened the partnership between McConnell Air Force Base’s Active Duty and Air National Guard personnel while reinforcing consistent standards across the Total Force.
