Blood, sweat and cheers Published Aug. 2, 2010 By Capt Alyson Stockton 184th Intelligence Wing Public Affairs McConnell AFB, KS-- -- Hats off to the Jayhawks who donated blood at the 184th Intelligence Wing blood drive held July 30. Twenty-seven pints of blood were donated to the American Red Cross for use in future trauma situations. Donors crowded the Bloodmobile from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., braving the heat to help save a life. "I want to thank everyone who took the time to give blood," said SMSgt Tiyonna Evans of the 184th Force Support Squadron, who coordinated the blood drive. "It is a really good feeling knowing that we could do a small part in helping those in need." The next wing blood drive is scheduled for Nov. 5.
