KSANG Members Participate in Local High Football School Game, Post Colors, Coin Toss Published Sept. 12, 2024 By Master Sgt. Matt McCoy, 184th Wing Public Affairs 184th Wing WICHITA, Kan. -- Members of the Kansas Air National Guard participated in the opening ceremonies during the Kapaun Mt. Carmel versus Andover high school football game at the Styker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kansas, Sept. 6, 2024. The 184th Wing’s Honor Guard presented the colors during the playing of “The Star-Spangled Banner.” The 184th Wing’s Recruiting and Retention team was also at the game. Five members of the KSANG were named Honorary Captains for the coin toss prior to kick off. The five Airmen were Lt. Col. Jennifer Vogt, commander of the 161st Intelligence Squadron (mother of Andover High School student Avery Vogt); Capt. Marie Baldessari, intelligence officer, 161st IS (2014 Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School graduate); Chief Master Sgt. Randi Hill, state command chief, KSANG (mother of Andover High School student Barrett Hill); Chief Master Sgt. Chase Liphart, command chief of the 184th Wing; and Master Sgt. Kevin Smith, budget analyst, 184th Comptroller Flight (father of Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School student Landon Smith). In addition to his full-time job as the 184th Force Support Squadron commander, Lt. Col. Darral Garner serves as a coach for the Kapaun Mt. Carmel Catholic High School football team.
