CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT RUSSELL L. BROTSKY CMSgt Russell L. Brotsky is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 184th Intelligence Wing, Kansas Air National Guard, McConnell Air Force Base, Kansas. Chief Brotsky is responsible for the interest regarding welfare, readiness, morale, proper utilization and progress for 1,200 enlisted Airmen of the 184th Intelligence Wing. Chief Brotsky is from Atkinson, Nebraska. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in December 1975 and later with the Kansas Air National Guard in 1980 with the 184th Tactical Fighter Group. He served as a F4-D Weapons Control Systems Technician and Avionics Mission Systems Superintendent until August 1989, transferring to the F-16 Avionics Intermediate Shop. In February 1990, he was assigned the position of Information Maintenance Chief in the 184th Mission Support Flight. Upon reorganization into a Communications Flight, he was reassigned as the Communications Flight Operations Chief. During this time he served 6 years on a national Communications-Electronics Communications Group, coordinating implementation issues with 88 Mission Systems Branches. He has served as the 184th Chiefs Group President, as a member of the Kansas National Guards' Civil Authority Support Team, and as the NGB/A6NV Unified Capabilities Program Manager, managing voice communications throughout the Air National Guard. In April 2011 he was selected as the 184th Intelligence Wing's 7th Command Chief. He is married with two children, and three grandchildren.
