COLONEL JEFFRY "J.J." JORDAN Colonel Jeff Jordan is the Wing Commander for the 184th Intelligence Wing, Kansas Air National Guard, McConnell AFB, Kansas. Prior to this assignment Colonel Jordan served as the Commander of the 184th Regional Support Group and the Deputy Commander of the Great Plains Joint Training Center, (GPJTC), Kansas Air National Guard (ANG), Salina. A graduate of the University of North Dakota, Col Jordan was commissioned through the Naval Aviation Officer Candidate School in 1987. His initial flying tour was with Attack Squadron 34, assigned to the USS Dwight D Eisenhower. His shore duty tour was a joint assignment with USSPACECOM, Cheyenne Mountain, Colorado. Following that position he was assigned to Fleet Air Reconnaissance 3, Tinker AFB, Oklahoma. He subsequently joined the Kansas Air National Guard, assigned to the 127th Bomb Squadron. In 2002 he took command of Smoky Hill Weapons Range. Col Jordan deployed with the 42nd Infantry Division as commander of the 274th Expeditionary Air Support Operations Squadron during Operation Iraqi Freedom III. Shortly after returning to his command of Smoky Hill he was assigned to the Kansas Joint Force Headquarters as the Joint Training Officer. He then took command of the 284th Air Support Operations Squadron. A command navigator, he has over 3,500 hours in A-6E, E-6A and B-1B aircraft. Col Jordan and his wife Susan have one daughter, Samantha.
